Each month you collect guest revenue, deduct your fees, and disperse the balance back to owners — usually as dozens of separate checks or manual bank transfers.
With Ramp, you can pay owners by ACH directly through VRTrust.
Ramp is a finance operations platform that provides corporate cards, bill pay, and business banking in one place.
Note: Before you connect, you'll need a Ramp account with a Treasury account that's open and funded — this is the account your ACH payments draw from. If you don't have one yet, you can open it directly in Ramp; it takes about a minute, and you can fund it by ACH transfer, wire, or real-time payment from your bank. There's no minimum balance required, but the account needs enough in it to cover the payments you're sending. You can keep paying owners by check or manual bank transfer until you're ready to connect.
How to Connect Ramp
Once you have a Ramp account, connect it to VRTrust:
Go to the Banking page in VRTrust.
Click Add an account and choose Sync bank records and send ACH payments.
You'll be redirected to Ramp's sign-in page to authenticate the connection.
VRTrust requests the scopes needed to create bills, read payment status, and see which bank accounts you can pay from.
In the setup window, enter the starting balance for each Ramp account you want to sync into VRTrust.
Once connected, your Ramp bank accounts appear automatically, with accounts that can send ACH labeled in the Enabled column. Ramp cards can show up in VRTrust too, but aren't offered as a payout source.
Setting Up an Owner for ACH
Before you can pay an owner by ACH, enter their bank details — you only need to do this once:
Open the owner's record in VRTrust
Click "+ Set Up" next to ACH Account
Enter their bank account details.
VRTrust creates the owner as a vendor in Ramp and attaches the bank account automatically.
The owner's bank details are stored with Ramp — VRTrust never keeps the full account number.
Paying an Owner
Once an owner is set up for ACH, you can pay them from their statement:
Open the owner's statement in VRTrust, where you can see total revenue, fees, and the balance owed for the month.
Click Create Payment in the upper right-hand corner.
Select the Ramp account to pay from and verify the amount is correct.
Click the blue button to initiate the payment.
Note: Only users with a specific permission in VRTrust can send an ACH payment.
Tracking Payment Status
Once the bill is in Ramp, you can track it in VRTrust. The bill is created with the matching amount, and the invoice number is your VRTrust payment reference, so the two systems can always be matched back to each other.
The payout drawer in VRTrust includes Ramp's status, the date the payment was initiated, when the owner should receive it, and the Ramp reference ID — so you don't need to refresh anything or log into Ramp to see when funds move. Every attempt is tracked with its status and outcome.
Canceling a Payment
If you need to cancel a payment, you can stop it while Ramp still allows it:
Open the payout drawer from VRTrust.
Click the ellipses in the upper right-hand corner.
Select the option to cancel the payment.
The payment is cancelled in Ramp, and the bill is cancelled and archived in both places. This ensures you never leave a live bill in Ramp for a payment your system already shows as finished.
Why Connect Ramp?
Connecting Ramp replaces manual checks and bank transfers with a single payment created directly from the owner statement — tracked automatically and reconciled with a matching reference on both sides.
