VRTrust keeps two feeds per Ramp connection: one for your Ramp checking account and one credit card account for all Ramp cards. You reconcile both like any Plaid bank feed.
The two accounts
VRTrust account | Holds | Type |
Ramp Operating - Ramp Checking | Deposits and withdrawals in your Ramp checking account | Bank (cash) |
Ramp Credit Card - [entity name] | All Ramp card transactions, across every card | Credit card (liability) |
VRTrust doesn't create an account per card. Every card's activity lands in the one credit card account.
Start date and opening balance
Set each feed's start date to the day your Ramp account opened, or your VRTrust go-live date if that's later. The opening balance on that date is usually $0 for a new Ramp account. Transactions dated before the start date aren't brought in.
How transactions come in
Transactions arrive on each Ramp sync. You can run one any time from Connections → Ramp → Fetching data.
New feeds show "Health unavailable" until their first transactions arrive.
Reconcile them from the account's bank records, the same way as Plaid feeds.
Use bank rules to code recurring items automatically, such as Ramp cashback and interest, or all spend on a particular card. The card number and cardholder appear in each card transaction's description.
Linked bank accounts in Ramp
Ramp's Accounting settings → Banking tab has a Linked bank accounts list. These are outside banks you've linked inside Ramp, for example the account that pays your Ramp statement or funds your Ramp account. Each one is mapped to its VRTrust cash account. VRTrust doesn't pull these banks' transactions through Ramp. Keep them connected through Plaid.
