You pay from VRTrust and Ramp sends the money. VRTrust creates one Ramp bill for each payment at the moment you pay, never before.
Payments through Ramp come from a funded Ramp account. You can fund it from your existing non-Ramp bank account.
1. Add the payee's bank details
Open the vendor or owner in VRTrust.
Go to the Payment method tab and enter the routing and account number.
Set the payee's default payment method to ACH via Ramp, then save. VRTrust sends the account to Ramp for verification, and the payee and your team admins get an email about the change.
The ACH option stays unavailable until the payee's bank details are set up.
2. Pay a vendor expense
Open the expense in VRTrust.
Choose to pay it by ACH through Ramp.
Pick the Ramp funding account and the amount. You can pay part of it; the rest stays open.
Submit. VRTrust creates the Ramp bill, with one bill line per amount you allocated.
3. Pay owner statement payouts
Pay owner payouts from the statement's Payouts section the same way. Ramp codes each payout bill to your payout distribution account, and the cash comes out of the funding account you choose.
What happens next
The payment holds its amount as pending until Ramp confirms the cash.
The payout date you enter is the VRTrust accounting date. Ramp gets a target arrival date, and its own scheduled and initiated dates are the final word on timing.
Status updates come back from Ramp automatically.
Expenses that stay in VRTrust
An expense you haven't paid through Ramp doesn't appear in Ramp's Bill Pay inbox. That includes expenses you pay another way, such as by check or outside VRTrust.
