Exceptions allow you to except reservation line to account mappings based on booking channel. You inherited default exceptions with a default mapping of reservation lines to accounts when you created a VRTrust account.
Commonly used exceptions include:
Exclude the host channel fee reservation line, except where the booking channel is Airbnb
Map lodging & occupancy tax reservation lines to a tax liability account, except where the booking channel is Airbnb (in jurisdictions where Airbnb remits taxes on behalf of the manager)
Add an exception
On the main navigation, click Settings and select Reservations.
Click the ellipses (...) on the reservation line for which you wish to add an exception.
Click Update exceptions.
Select the booking channel for which you wish to add an exception from the Booking Channel dropdown.
Select the Account to use on reservation lines from reservations booked via the booking channel selected above.
Click +Add exception to add additional exceptions as needed.
Click Submit.
Edit an exception
Click the ellipses on the reservation line for which you wish to edit an exception.
Click Update exceptions.
Make the necessary changes.
Click Submit.
Remove an exception
Click the ellipses on the reservation line for which you wish to remove an exception.
Click Update exceptions.
Click the trash can icon next to the exception you wish to remove.
Click Submit.
Reset exceptions
Click the ellipses on the reservation line for which you wish to reset exceptions.
Click Update exceptions.
Click Reset Exceptions to clear all exceptions from the line mapping.
