What to do if owners are having trouble accessing VRPlatform

Recently, we've noticed a surge in the number of owners encountering difficulties when trying to access their accounts. It has become apparent that a significant portion of these problems stems from the way owners initially logged into the VRPlatform. Specifically, those who initially utilized a custom login URL instead of accessing their accounts directly from the main login screen may experience access-related complications.

In this article, we will guide you through the essential steps to ensure owners are set up with the necessary credentials to access VRP seamlessly, resolving any login issues they may encounter along the way.

Provide Owner with Custom URL Link

Note: This step should be completed by the property management team

  1. From the Owners tab, find and select the owner to open the owner details panel.

  2. In the top right corner, hover over the icon with 3 horizontal dots to view the options.

  3. Select Copy invitation url from the list of options. Wait for a success message to appear at the bottom right of the screen verifying the link has been copied.

  4. Provide this link to the owner.

The link is good for one-time use, so please do not click on the link before providing it to the owner.

Owner Steps

  1. Login using link provided by Property Management team

    1. The link will bypass the main login screen and you will be automatically logged into the owner portal dashboard.

  2. A pop-up window will appear requesting you input a password to use going forward. Once a password has been entered, no other steps are required.

If the pop-up window does not appear upon login, please complete the following steps:

  1. At the bottom of the navigation menu, click on your Profile.

  2. In the menu that appears, select Settings.

  3. On the following screen, click on Security.

  4. In the Password section, click the link Set password.

  5. Input a password into the text fields.

  6. Ensure the box "Sign out of all other devices" is checked and click Contine.

  7. A screen will appear confirming your password has been set. Click Finish.

  8. Use the new password to login to the owner portal going forward.

If you did not have the option to Set password in step four, i.e. the link said "Change password" instead, please go back to the login screen and use the Forgot Password link to reset your password. More information can be found here.
