Follow the steps below to integrate Hostaway with VRPlatform and begin syncing data into your accounting software for automated financial reporting and faster owner statement preparation.
Generate you Hostaway Account ID and API Key
Prior to creating the connection within VRPlatform, you will need to have a Hostaway Account ID and API Key. This information will be used to create the sync.
Login to your Hostaway account.
Click on Marketplace from the left navigation menu.
In the search bar, select Accounting and then select Ximplifi from the application list.
Click the Connect button. A small modal window will appear to create an API secret key, then click the Create button.
You will be provided an Account ID and API Key. These codes will be needed in the next part to create the connection within VRP.
Sign Up with VRPlatform
If you do not already have an account, please click here to sign up. Otherwise, please login to your VRPlatform account.
Connect to Hostaway as a New VRPlatform User
Upon selecting Sign Up from the main login screen and creating your account, you will be directed to the Connect your PMS Screen, from here, complete the following steps to connect your Hostaway account.
From the Connect your PMS screen, select Hostaway.
Input the Account ID and API Key you copied in the first step into the corresponding fields, then click the Connect button.
The connection will authenticate and a successful connection message will appear upon completion.
Continue through the setup process, connecting your accounting system and arriving on the main dashboard.
Connect to Hostaway as an Existing VRPlatform User
Once you have copied the Account ID and API Key from your Hostaway account as outlined in the first step above, complete the following steps to connect to VRPlatform.
From the Connections screen, click the Add a connection button in the top right corner.
In the modal window that appears, scroll to or search for Hostaway and click the Connect button.
Input the Account ID and API Key you obtained during the previous steps into the corresponding fields, then click the Connect button.
The connection will authenticate and a successful message will appear upon completion. Close the window to go back to the connections screen or add another connection.
