Commission & Fee Setup: What to Check Before Publishing Statements

See how each commission/fee configuration choice connects to how it will actually appear on owner statements.

Setup checklist

  • Management commission rate —Admin users can control whether or not this is included as a column in the net revenue section by editing the owner statement template. If enabled, it appears on the owner statement as a line item deducted from gross revenue. Confirm the owner's contract rate matches before go-live.

  • Booking channel fees — configure whether these are passed through, absorbed, or split. This changes whether the owner will see a separate channel fee column or just a net revenue figure.

  • Conditional fees — thresholds (greater than / less than / between) determine whether a fee shows up at all for a given reservation; test with a sample reservation before go-live.

  • Default fees on new listings — review what gets auto-applied to avoid an owner seeing an unexpected fee on their first statement.

  • Taxes on fees/commissions — if VAT or another tax applies on top of your fees, confirm it's configured so the owner sees the correct all-in deduction.

Before you publish the first statement

Use owner impersonation to view the listing from the owner's side, and walk through the summary box and net revenue sections line by line against what you configured. This catches most "why is my payout different than expected" questions before they reach the owner.
