If you use Vacation Rent Payment to process guest payments, you can connect it to VRTrust to automatically sync your settlement deposits. Once connected, VRTrust turns your Vacation Rent Payment settlements into deposits automatically, reducing manual entry and keeping your accounting up to date.
Note: You'll need an API Key from Vacation Rent Payment before connecting. Contact your Vacation Rent Payment account representative or their support team to request one for your account.
How to Connect Vacation Rent Payment
Follow these steps to connect your Vacation Rent Payment account:
Go to the Connections page in VRTrust
Click Add Connection
Search for Vacation Rent Payment, or find it under the Payment Gateway tab
Click Connect
Enter your API Key
Click Submit
What Happens Next
Once the connection is successful, Vacation Rent Payment will appear in your Connections list and VRTrust will begin pulling your settlement data automatically. For each settlement:
One deposit is created per settlement
Each settling payment is matched to its corresponding reservation as a line item
The deposit posts to the bank account assigned to the connection
This connection is read-only: VRTrust pulls data from Vacation Rent Payment, but it does not create charges, refunds, or reservations back in your Vacation Rent Payment account.
Reconciling Vacation Rent Payment Deposits
Once deposits start coming in, match them to your bank feed as part of your monthly bank reconciliation. See Bank reconciliation for Auto-Posted Deposits for the full walkthrough.
If a deposit is missing:
Go to Connections
Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the Vacation Rent Payment connection
Select Fetch Connection
Choose a prior date range that covers the missing settlement
Click Fetch Data
