If you process payments through Authorize.net, you can connect it to VRTrust to automatically sync your settled transactions. Once connected, VRTrust turns your Authorize.net settlement batches into deposits automatically, reducing manual entry and keeping your accounting up to date.
Note: You'll need your Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key before connecting. You can find these in your Authorize.net merchant interface under Account Settings (API Credentials & Keys). If you don't see this option, ask your Authorize.net account admin to generate them for you.
How to Connect Authorize.net
Follow these steps to connect your Authorize.net account:
Go to the Connections page in VRTrust
Click Add Connection
Search for Authorize.net, or find it under the Payment Gateway tab
Click Connect
Enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key
Click Submit
What Happens Next
Once the connection is successful, Authorize.net will appear in your Connections list and VRTrust will begin pulling your settled batches automatically. For each batch:
One deposit is created per settled batch
Each settling payment or refund becomes a line item on that deposit
Refunds are recorded as negative lines
Declined, voided, canceled/cancelled, and expired transactions are not imported, since they never settled
This connection is read-only: VRTrust pulls data from Authorize.net, but it does not create charges, refunds, or customers back in your Authorize.net account.
Reconciling Authorize.net Deposits
Once deposits start coming in, match them to your bank feed as part of your monthly bank reconciliation. See Bank reconciliation for Auto-Posted Deposits for the full walkthrough.
If a deposit is missing:
Go to Connections
Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the Authorize.net connection
Select Fetch Connection
Choose all transaction types and a prior date range that covers the missing batch
Click Fetch Data
