Why this happens
VRPlatform can only pull Airbnb earnings and transaction history if the Airbnb user account it's connected to has explicit financial (payout/transaction) permissions. If that account is a co-host, a team member, or a user whose permissions were recently changed, Airbnb may block financial data access entirely — even though the connection itself still shows as active in VRPlatform. The result: "No data synced," no error messages, just silence.
Before you start
Confirm which Airbnb account is currently connected to VRPlatform. You'll need:
Access to the primary Airbnb account (the account owner), or
The ability to log into Airbnb as the account owner to grant or verify permissions for the connected user.
Fix 1: You are the Airbnb account owner (or have access to the primary account)
Log into Airbnb at airbnb.com.
Click your Profile photo (top right) → Account.
Navigate to Professional Hosting Tools → Team (or Users & Permissions if you use a hosting team setup).
Find the user or account connected to VRPlatform.
Click Edit permissions and confirm the following are enabled:
Earnings
Transaction History
Payouts
Save your changes.
Fix 2: You are using a co-host or team member login
Airbnb limits financial data visibility for co-hosts and team members unless those permissions are explicitly granted by the primary account owner. The account connected to VRPlatform must either be:
The Primary Host / Account Owner, or
A co-host or team member with full Financial & Payout permissions enabled by the owner.
If granting those permissions isn't possible (e.g., the Airbnb account structure doesn't allow it), the most reliable fix is:
Reconnect VRPlatform using the Primary Airbnb account login instead of the co-host or team member login.
After updating permissions
Once you've updated Airbnb permissions or reconnected with the primary account:
Log out of VRPlatform and log back in.
Go to your Airbnb integration settings in VRPlatform and reconnect or refresh the integration.
Allow 15–30 minutes for the sync to run and data to appear.
If payments are still not showing after 30 minutes, reach out to VRPlatform support and let us know:
Which Airbnb account type is connected (owner vs. co-host/team member)
Whether any error messages appeared after reconnecting
Your PMS (e.g., OwnerRez, Guesty, Hostaway) so we can check for PMS-specific sync behavior
