Overview
Owners control whether they receive a notification email each time a new statement is published. When an owner has turned this off, the owner statement publish dialog in VRPlatform will show "Owner has disabled statement notifications" next to that owner's email and automatically set the email option to Do not send.
The statement still publishes and remains visible in the owner portal β the only thing suppressed is the notification email. This article explains what to expect on both sides and how an owner can re-enable notifications.
For Property Managers
What you'll see in the publish dialog
When publishing an owner statement, the publish modal lists each owner with their email and a delivery option. If an owner has disabled statement notifications, you'll see:
A tooltip that reads "Owner has disabled statement notifications" next to their email address.
The email delivery option set to Do not send.
This is expected behavior and respects the owner's notification preference.
What you can do
Continue publishing. The statement publishes normally and the owner can still view it any time in their owner portal.
If the owner wants to start receiving emails again, they need to re-enable notifications from their owner portal. Property managers cannot view or toggle this setting from the admin side β it's entirely controlled by the owner from within their own account.

How to enable or disable statement notifications
You can turn statement notification emails on or off from your owner portal at any time.
Log in to your owner portal at https://portal.vrplatform.app/.
Open your account Settings from the navigation menu.
Scroll to the General section at the bottom of the settings page.
Toggle Statement notifications on to receive an email each time a new statement is published, or off to stop receiving these emails.
Your preference saves automatically.

Note: Disabling statement notifications only affects new-statement emails. It does not affect your access to the owner portal or any statements already available there.
FAQ
Can a property manager re-enable notifications on the owner's behalf?
No. The notification toggle lives in the owner's portal and is controlled entirely by the owner. Property managers cannot view or change this setting from the admin side β not even through the owner portal preview, which is view-only and does not expose owner-specific account preferences.
If I turn notifications off, will I lose access to my statements?
No. Your statements remain available in the owner portal whenever you log in. Only the notification email is affected.
Does this affect my owner portal invitation email?
No. This setting only controls statement notification emails. Account-level emails such as portal invitations are unaffected.
