VRTrust now includes a Manage Bank Connection modal that allows users to pause, reconnect, or resume bank syncing without removing the bank connection entirely.
Who This Applies To: This article is intended for VRTrust users managing connected bank feeds through Plaid integrations.
Open the Manage Bank Connection Modal
To manage a connected bank account:
Navigate to an area of the platform displaying a Plaid-connected bank account
Select Manage Bank Connection
This opens the bank connection management modal.
Pause Bank Sync
To temporarily stop importing new bank records:
Select Pause Bank Sync
Confirm the action
While paused:
The bank connection remains intact
New bank records will no longer sync into VRTrust
Resume Bank Sync
To reactivate syncing:
Reopen the Manage Bank Connection modal
Select Enable Bank Sync
Confirm the action
VRTrust will resume importing transactions from the connected account.
Reconnect a Bank Feed
If credentials have changed or the bank feed needs to be refreshed:
Open the modal
Select Reconnect Bank Sync
Follow the prompts to reconnect the account
Tip — try a manual fetch first. If records have simply stopped arriving, go to Connections, filter for Plaid, and click Fetch to pull the latest records before reconnecting.
⚠️ If Fetch and Reconnect both fail: the underlying Plaid source may be fully inactive. Do not add a new bank account as a workaround. Reach out in the support chat and the team will re-establish the feed on your existing account. Adding a second account for a bank you already have causes new deposits to post to the old account's GL ledger, which stops Bank Reconciliation from matching and blocks owner statements.
Why This Workflow Matters
These controls provide additional flexibility for managing bank feeds without needing to fully disconnect and recreate bank connections.
