The Trust Reconciliation Report in VRTrust allows you to drill into balances and view the journal entry details behind each amount, without ever leaving the report. This makes it easy to understand exactly what’s driving each balance and quickly navigate to the underlying records.
Open the Trust Reconciliation Report
From the left-hand navigation, click Reports
Select Trust Reconciliation Report
Choose the as-of date you want to review (for example, end of January)
The report will display trust account balances as of the selected date.
Drill Into Journal Entry Details
Scroll to the account you want to review
Click directly on an amount in the report
This opens the Journal Entry Details window, where you can see:
Listing
Description
Account
Amount
Debit or credit indicator
This view shows the line-level activity contributing to that balance.
Use Filters to Refine Results
At the top of the Journal Entry Details window, you can filter entries by:
Status
Amount
Listing
Classification
Type and subtype
Booking channel
You can also:
Export the table
Reset filters
Adjust view settings
These tools make it easy to focus on exactly what you’re looking for.
Navigate to Linked Records
From the Journal Entry Details window, you can open the source record for each entry.
Click the link shown in the Links column
Close the journal entry window
The related record opens automatically in a side drawer
Depending on the account, links may point to:
Reservations
Expenses
Deposits
For example:
Reservation-related entries open the reservation drawer
Expense-related revenue accounts link directly to the expense record
Deposit-related entries open the associated deposit

Tip
Different accounts surface different types of links, depending on the underlying activity. This helps ensure you’re always taken to the most relevant record for the balance you’re reviewing.
