This article explains how to display the number of nights included in the current reporting period on owner statements when revenue is reported on a pro-rata basis.
When to Use This
Use this option when:
Revenue is recognized pro-rata across stay dates
A reservation spans multiple reporting periods
You want to clearly show owners how many nights are included in each monthly statement
Displaying pro-rata nights helps owners understand how revenue is allocated across months.
Add Pro-Rata Nights to the Owner Statement Template
Navigate to the Statements page from the main navigation.
Click Edit Template.
In the template editor, click Add Column.
Enter the column name you want to appear on the owner statement (for example, Pro-Rata Nights).
Select Nights, Statement Period.
Save your changes.
The new column will be added to the owner statement template.
Understanding the Nights Values
Nights (Reservation Total)
Refers to the total number of nights for the entire reservation.Nights (Statement Period)
Shows only the number of nights that fall within the current reporting period.
Example
If a reservation spans December and January:
The Nights column shows the full length of the stay.
The Pro-Rata Nights column shows only the nights included in the current month’s statement.
If all nights fall within the same month, both columns will show the same value.
Why This Matters
Adding pro-rata nights:
Improves transparency for owners
Clearly explains revenue allocation across months
Reduces questions about partial-month revenue on statements
