The "Receive-to Account" section of the Mappings page, correlated with the Reservation Payment Automation, is mapped to the general ledger account to which guest payments will be received. This is typically a clearing account.
To configure this automation effectively, follow these steps:
Setting up the "Receive-to Account" Mapping:
Leave the Fallback field blank and proceed to map the relevant platforms to their respective accounts in the "Receive-to Accounting Mappings" section.
Mapping Airbnb Payments:
For transactions originating from the Airbnb platform, designate the account as "Trust Assets other than Cash & A/R:Payments in transit to Trust:Payments Clearing - Airbnb".
Mapping Stripe Payments:
Similarly, for payments processed through Stripe, assign the account as "Trust Assets other than Cash & A/R:Payments in transit to Trust:Payments Clearing - Stripe".
Adding Accounts for Booking.com Payments (if applicable):
If you receive payments via Booking.com, extend your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to incorporate an additional account named "Trust Assets other than Cash & A/R:Payments in transit to Trust:Payments Clearing - Booking.com". Once created, fetch your QBO connection and map the Booking.com App line to this newly added account.
