Transitioning to VRTrust: FAQs for Owners

Answers to common questions around accessing the new owner portal

General

What is VRTrust?

VRTrust is a standalone accounting software developed by VRPlatform. It replaces the legacy system, providing more flexible and cleaner reporting backed by real-time financial data and powerful built-in workflows.

Why is my property manager making this change?

The upgrade delivers better reporting and gives you more control over your numbers, while laying the foundation for new features coming in the future.

What Stays the Same

Will my ownership information be affected?

No. All of your ownership records, property details, and account information transfer over exactly as-is.

What happens to my existing and upcoming reservations?

Nothing changes. Existing and upcoming reservations are fully preserved and are not disrupted during the transition.

Will my payout schedule change?

No. Payouts continue on schedule with no change to timing, amounts, or banking details.

Will I still work with the same property manager?

Yes. Your dedicated property manager remains your primary point of contact for all questions and needs.

Will my owner statements still arrive on the same schedule?

Yes. Statements continue to arrive on the same schedule you're accustomed to, with no gaps or delays.

Is my information still secure?

Yes. Your information stays fully protected using industry-standard authentication before, during, and after the transition.

What's Changing

Will my owner statements look different?

The overall format of your statements may be updated, including a more detailed summary box, the ability to freeze columns, and cleaner annual summaries. All the information like income, expenses, and net payout is still presented clearly and uniformly. Your property manager can walk you through any layout changes.

What other portal changes should I expect?

You'll notice faster, more intuitive navigation and filtering; richer financial and performance reports; the ability to block dates for personal use or maintenance directly from the portal (if applicable); and expanded settings for managing owner viewers, notification preferences, and contact information.

Will any features I currently use go away?

Some features may not carry over directly or may look different. Your property manager will notify you in advance of any changes that affect tools you rely on and help you find the best equivalent in the new system.

Will my notifications change?

You may need to confirm your notification preferences after your first login. To do this, navigate to Settings > Notifications.

Logging In

How do I access the new portal?

You'll receive an email invitation to join your property manager's new VRTrust team — check your spam folder if you don't see it. Click the link to accept the invite, then log in using your existing email and password.

How do I switch between the old and new portal?

Click the dropdown next to your name or entity in the upper left corner. A checkmark shows your currently selected team; the new VRTrust environment is listed underneath the VRTrust header. Select it, and the screen will refresh. A checkmark should now appear next to the VRTrust account.

What if I lose or never receive my invitation?

Contact your property manager and they can resend it.

Once you have accepted the invitation and logged in for the first time, you can log in normally at portal.vrplatform.app

Historical Records

Can I still access my past owner statements?

Yes. Past statements are migrated to VRTrust and accessible from your new portal dashboard under the Statements section.

What about tax documents and older records?

All historical statement summaries, tax statements, reservations, and performance reports are retained in the old portal for up to one year after the transition.

Should I download anything before the old portal is retired?

Yes. We recommend downloading copies of any reports or documents you'd like to retain going forward.
