Calendar blocking

If your property manager has enabled calendar blocking, you can block dates directly from your Owner Portal to prevent new reservations from being booked.

Before You Start

  • Calendar blocking must be enabled by your property manager.

  • You can only block dates that do not already have a reservation.

Note: Calendar blocking is currently only available for Guesty users

How to Block Calendar Dates

  1. Log in to your Owner Portal.

  2. Select Calendar from the main menu.

  3. Your calendar will display existing reservations that have synced from the property management system.

  4. Click Block calendar dates.

  5. Select the dates you want to block.

    • Dates with existing reservations cannot be blocked.

  6. (Optional) Add a description for the block.

  7. Click Submit.

Once submitted:

  • The dates are blocked in your Owner Portal

  • The block syncs with the property management system

  • No new reservations can be booked for those dates


How to Unblock Dates

You can remove (unblock) calendar dates directly from the Calendar page at any time. Once unblocked, availability will update and sync back to the property management system.


Viewing Reservation Details

From the calendar, you can also view details for booked dates, including:

  • Guest name

  • Booking amount

  • Reservation status (Booked, Paid, or Canceled)


Why Use Calendar Blocking?

Calendar blocking gives you greater control over your property’s availability and helps ensure:

  • No reservations are booked on blocked dates

  • Clear visibility into existing bookings

  • Accurate syncing between your Owner Portal and the property management system
